    How to avoid lump formation/agglomeration in porous Ammonium nitrate prill along with how to increase the crushing strength

    There are multiple parameters affecting on free flow nature of porous AN prill depending upon its impurities / nature of process. But key parameters include followings;

    1. High Moisture contents.
    2. High temperature of AN melt.
    3. Sudden cooling of prills.
    4. High soluble calcium, P2O5 and fluorides.
    5. Product stack height.

    What corrective actions can be taken;

    1. Dosing of anti-foam.
    2. Use of anti-caking chemical for coating of prills.
    3. Review cooling and conditioning system.
    4. Review storage conditions and packing material.
