SOx emissions from NP Dissolving Reactors

I’m looking for insights from professionals experienced in phosphate-based fertilizer production.

Is there any possibility of sulfur dioxide (SO₂) generation during the reaction of rock phosphate with nitric acid in NP (Nitrophosphate) dissolving reactors?
    If so:

What are the typical or regulatory maximum allowable SO₂ emission limits in such processes?

What mitigation or control strategies are commonly adopted to minimize SO₂ emissions?

Appreciate any feedback, operational experiences, or references on this topic.
